What you can expect to be doing:

Haley Ward is seeking a Structural and MEP Systems Engineering Team Lead to oversee and coordinate the activities of the MEP and Structural Engineering team. The Team Lead will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing projects related to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems.

  • Lead MEP & Structural team in alignment with Haley Ward's strategic objectives.
  • Lead the MEP systems team in the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems.
  • Develop project plans, budgets, and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of projects.
  • Preparing agreements including scope, schedule, work plan, fees and monitors financial performance of projects.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure that projects meet specifications and requirements.
  • Review and approve design drawings, specifications, and other technical documents.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members.
  • Conduct regular site visits to inspect work progress and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness
  • Cultivating personal business relationships and seeking opportunities for cross-selling to enhance and expand existing client relationships during and after projects.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in MEP systems design or structural engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, team leadership, business development and client management.
  • Effective manager of people with the ability to inspire, lead, communicate, support, and mentor.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and engineering best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
